The opportunities for decision makers to reflect on their ideas regarding the development of the organisation, their own activities and responsibilities, or their career path are few and far between.

This leaves executives with a two-fold challenge: They have to include employees in decisions, most of whom are subordinates, and with whom the relationship is characterised by dependence. On the other hand, the interaction with managers at the same level involves having to get your own point across, and engaging in possible disputes on conflicting interests.
